Japan Restaurant Week at Oshima Ginza

As promised, my experience from Japan Restaurant Week 2016 with my girls! For my friend Yui and I, this is our third consecutive winter participating in Restaurant Week, and this time, our friend Remy was able to join us for a Japanese-style lunch course at Oshima in Ginza, Tokyo. 3000 yen (roughly $30 USD) per person, this seafood course was completely satisfying, healthy and delicious. I don't think I can ever eat tempura that is any less tasty than this. And I'm so glad I spent my Valentine's with my girlfriends. Thank you ♡

Japan Restaurant Week 2015 - Grill & Bar Lieu

This week is Restaurant Week in Japan, which meant planning a much-needed lunch date with my good friend Yui. We've been doing Restaurant Week for a few years now, both in LA and Tokyo, and this time we chose French cuisine at a restaurant in Suidobashi called Grill & Bar Lieu HOTEL NIWA TOKYO. A full course lunch for only 2000 yen ($20), including dessert and coffee. This place had an all-you-can-eat salad bar and second helpings of baguette, which was amazing. I was even happier to have had time to catch up with Yui, since we hadn't seen each other since before Christmas.

Tanicha

I hope that first photo lured you in to read the rest of this blog post.. :)
I had a lovely lunch date with my good friend Yui for Japan Restaurant Week 2013. We chose a fancy little Italian restaurant called Tanicha in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo, and it's really difficult to say in words how amazing our food was from the taste to the visual arrangement of each dish. And the atmosphere of  the restaurant was pleasant as well.

I swear we didn't plan our outfits! Always room for dessert round 2 - boba milk tea, my favorite!

Did anyone else dine out during restaurant week?

Thanks for reading!

Love,

Samantha Mariko
