happy valentine's day

It's Sunday, it's Valentine's Day, and I'm getting ready for my day with these makeup essentials. NARS is always an absolute favorite, but I love Maybelline for eyes and the NAKED 2 eyeshadow palette makes a perfectly subtle smokey eye. When I want something different with my eyeliner, I go with my red RMK liquid liner. And a new favorite of mine is this YSL Lumiere Divine highlighting face powder. It sets my foundation just right.

I'll be getting lunch with some of my girlfriends for Japan Restaurant Week (sort of like Dine LA, where participating restaurants have special courses prepared for lunch and dinner). I'll be posting photos later :) I hope ya'll enjoy your Valentine's Day as well! 

今日は日曜日、バレンタインデー。待ちに待った日なので、メイクに気合いが入ります♡ NARSは前から好きなブランドなのですが、アイメイクはMaybelline が好きです。やりすぎないスモーキーアイはUrban Decay のNAKED 2 のアイシャドーパレットがオススメですよ！アイラインを違う色にしたい時は、RMKの赤いリキッドラインを引いたりします。そして、最近気に入っているのはYSL ルミールディヴァインシリーズのフェースパウダーです！ベースをちゃんとセットしてくれてる気がします。

今日は、Japan Restaurant Week に参加しているレストランで、友達とランチしてきます！またあとで写真載せます！皆さんも良いバレンタインデーを♡

A Valentine's eve party at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo

Happy Valentine's Day! Last night, my managers from my agency invited me to a Valentine's Eve Party at the Shangri-La Hotel in Marunouchi. A very fancy clubbing event at a fancy venue! One of my managers is also a DJ, and he spinned for about an hour as well. The view of Tokyo Station from the 27th floor was a sight to see. Tokyo cityscapes never get old.

I just came back from a much needed trip to the salon for the most amazing facial, and now off to celebrate Valentine's :) I hope everyone has a love-filled day <3

昨日はシャングリラホテルでバレンタインイブのパーティーがありました！マネージャーがこのイベントでDJするということで、ちょこっと顔出しに行きました♪やっぱり丸の内はお洒落！気分上々♪　皆さんにとって、良いバレンタインになりますように！ 

valentine's day makeup ideas

Because I think most girls like looking pretty on love day, here are some makeup ideas I recommend:

1. Fresh Rose Face Mask - I use this almost every night, and it really moisturizes my face.

2. Fresh Rose Floral Toner - I use this after the Rose mask, and so far it doesn't irritate my skin and it has a lovely, pleasant scent.

3. Sugar Honey Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF15 - Absolutely love this lip tint! It acts as both a lip balm and lipstick, and this shade is perfect because it gives off a mature look and goes with almost any kind of makeup.

4. RMK Nail Color EX in P-05  - For when I'm feeling girly.

5. Rimmel Stick Blush in 001 - This cream blush is easy to use and adds a nice, rosy color. I use my finger to to dab some of it on the apples of my cheeks.

6. Make Up For Ever HD Blush in Flamingo Pink - I actually haven't tried this particular blush but I hear good things about it. I just really like this subtle color that doesn't come off too strong.

7. Marc Jacobs Lip Gel in Strange Magic - Isn't this a pretty pink shade? I love the Marc Jacobs lipsticks because they are easy to apply and the colors are fantastic!

an early valentine date

Tonight, I spent a lovely evening with my good friend Amy for an early Valentine's day dinner. It was my first time at Legato, an Italian restaurant which overlooks the busy nightlife of Shibuya, Tokyo. Apparently, they turn the restaurant into a club for New Years Eve - I definitely want to come back for that!
