from LA to Tokyo

Last night, I had dinner with my friend who is vising Tokyo from LA. We took a few modeling and acting classes together in LA, but I think this is the first time we actually met up outside of classes or work. I hadn't seen her in over a year, so imagine all the catching up we had to do! She is also aspiring to become a model in Japan so I really hope she does well. Can't wait to see her again, hopefully soon:)

I took her to Jinnan Cafe in Shibuya, which is one of my go-to spots in Tokyo. We didn't have it this time, but their pancakes are delicious, too!

I feel like I say this every time I do a photo shoot, but this is seriously by far one of my favorite shoots.

I shot with Lisa last autumn and we finally scheduled this little shoot in Harajuku. Her friend Chihiro did my hair and makeup in her studio and we ventured out in the quiet part of Harajuku for possible locations. And this is what we came up with. I don't think this shoot even lasted an hour, or even half an hour..
My favorite prop was probably the cones.. especially the "no trespassing" one ;)

Thank you Lisa and Chihiro for an amazing and fun shoot! Can't wait to work with these ladies again!

And one candid shot:

Good night <3

This is probably one of the most interesting places I've done a photo shoot. We were able to use this little cafe in Shimo-kitazawa freely because of the photographer. And I loved the cute props he brought for the shoot - a portable record player, his vinyl collection, old magazines and photo books. It's just too bad the roller skates were too small...but I definitely enjoyed this music-themed shoot. Next time I'm bringing my headphones.

A song I'm currently hooked on:
