A casual little black dress part 2 (featuring Bershka)

Did everyone have a great weekend? I've been a little slow at responding to comments and preparing this post, so apologies for that. I actually performed at Night Nation Run in Japan, the first running music festival in the world. I was a featured artist for EDM unit EDO, which includes DJ Marc Panther, club-D and Claudio. This time, I was lucky enough to open the set with an original track titled "Freedom." One of my dreams came true this weekend, and I'm still savoring the moment. I'll be posting more about the festival later on!

I mentioned I would be doing a 2-part series on how to wear a casual LBD, and here it is, this time wearing a Bershka midi dress. With the sexy mesh back detail and the feminine silhouette, this particular dress can be worn in a more formal setting as well. But I have a habit of always dressing things down with sneakers, and these Old Skool Vans are a favorite right now. Viktor shot these photos for me in Shinjuku's Kabukicho - the 2nd photo is in front of the Robot Restaurant, always full of tourists. And this dragon mural was sick! We randomly walked by it at the end of our shooting session and had to take a couple shots. You never know what you'll find in Tokyo because it really is a treasure trove of all things interesting.

前回、カジュアルな黒いワンピースの着方のパート２をアップすると書きました。今回は、Bershkaのボディコンワンピースをカジュアルダウンのスタイリングにしてみました。メッシュのバックディテールがセクシーなので、ドレスアップしても着れますよ。でも、私はスニーカーなどに合わせてカジュアルに着がちなので、お気に入りのOld Skool Vansと合わせました。カメラマンのヴィクターさんと新宿で撮影してて、ロボットレストランの前でも撮ってもらいました。やっぱり観光客が多いですね！そして、小さい神社の隣に描かれていたこの竜が本当にかっこ良かったです。たまたま見つけたロケーションだったので、ラッキーでした！都内を歩いていると、色んな発見があるので楽しいですよね。

A casual little black dress pt. 1 (featuring Tobi)

The LBD in the traditional sense is designed for a formal setting, but I'm proving it wrong with my 2-part series. This casual Amarah buttoned halter dress from Tobi is perfect for a day out, and even for cocktails in the evening. I actually wore it to Vegas when I went to see David Guetta. And I just can't get enough of all things black, so this time I paired my Chiara Ferragni espadrilles from Farfetch and my trusty zeroUVs. It's always possible to dress both chic and casually at the same time.

「小さい黒いワンピース。」英語では、Little Black Dress、略してLBDと呼びます。フォーマルな設定で着用しがちなアイテムですが、カジュアルにも着こなせることを今回証明します！Tobiのボタンハイネックワンピースは、お出かけにもぴったりだし、お洒落なバーに行くときにも全然余裕で着れます。実は、先月ラスベガスへ行ったときに着たんです！オールブラックのコーディネートは欠かせないので、Farfetchで見つけたキアラのエスパドリーユと大好きなzeroUVのキャットアイサングラスと合わせました。カジュアルで、しかもシックに着こなすことは可能なんです。

A little black dress at the Imperial Hotel

Sometimes, even a girl like me enjoys getting dolled-up in a little black dress. Sheinside was kind enough to send me a LBD of my choice from my wishlist a little while back, and here it is. I thought this little dress would look better in a more refined setting, and the Imperial Hotel in Hibiya was the ideal location. Beautiful chandeliers, lush red carpeting, and a huge bouquet of red roses right upon entrance, if you can even call it a bouquet (I don't even know what to call it). Needless to say, the hotel was gorgeous.

Since it was much too cold to wear it bare, I layered a basic black turtleneck underneath. I finally got a chance to wear my pearl ring from Good After Nine - how pretty does it look underneath the lights! Dressing up can be so fun sometimes... yes, I am such a girl :)

Sheinsideさんから頂いた黒いワンピースでドレスアップしました。東京はさすがに寒いので、無地の黒いタートルニットをインしてコーディネートしました。ちょっとお洒落感を演出したく、今回は帝国ホテルで撮影をすることにしました。本当にうっとりするくらい素敵なホテル！ロビーのセンターに飾られていた赤いバラのブーケがとても綺麗でした。たまにはこういうところに来るのもいいですね！
