Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo - MIKIO SAKABE S/S 2017 Collection

My last post for Fashion Week! On the final day, I attended PLASTICTOKYO & MIKIO SAKABE 2017 S/S Collections respectively. Again, it was difficult to take quality photos for PLASTICTOKYO, so please click the link to check out the collection. MIKIO SAKABE being the final runway for this season's Fashion Week, it was definitely worth the wait. Taking place at Miyashita Park, just a little ways from Shibuya Station, the layout for the runway, the girly and Barbie-doll-like designs, hair and makeup - it was all a girl's dream come true and totally suited as the final collection to close out Fashion Week. While I adored the bold prints & colors and mini shirt dresses, I have to say, I absolutely love the platform shoes! I mean, what girl doesn't? For more from MIKIO SAKABE, check out Fashion Press.

ファッションウィークの最終記事！最終日は、PLASTICTOKYO & MIKIO SAKABEのS/Sコレクションを見に行きました。PLASTICTOKYOでは、写真がまた上手く撮れなかったので、上記のリンクでコレクションをご覧になって下さい。MIKIO SAKABEは、一番最後のショーというだけありました。渋谷の宮下公園で行われ、場所が広かった分、ランウェイも格好よかったし、ガーリーでバービーみたいなデザイン、ヘアメイク　−　全部女の子の夢みたいなお洋服で、ファッションウェークの締めとして最適のランウェイでした。明るい柄やカラー、シャツのミニワンピなどもちろんすてきだったですが、とにかく靴です！こういうプラットフォームは絶対履きたいです！MIKIO SAKABEをもっとご覧になりたい方は、こちらへ。

Mixing the old with the new

You can never go wrong with an oversized, ankle-length cardigan. While there are many ways to style one, this time I opted for simple, yet quality pieces in my wardrobe. My favorite Rag & Bone tee, a pleather skirt, my mom's old LV purse, a silver bangle with a leather wrap-around from Spanish jewelry brand Uno de 50, and my new Puma Gold Collection kicks. When there's too much black, a touch of white does the trick with a pair of zeroUV sunnies. Comfort in style is my motto.

スーパーロングカーディガンは、以外と万能なアイテムです。様々なスタイリング方法はありますが、今回はシンプルでクオリティーのあるものを合わせてみました。お気に入りのRag&BoneTシャツ、フェイクレザーのミニスカート、お母さんが昔パリで買ったヴィトンのバッグ、Uno de 50というスペインのブランドのシルバーとレザーのバングル、そして、Puma Gold Collectionの新しいスニーカー。黒系が多すぎるかなって時は、ちょこっと白をプラスしたらいい感じ。ZeroUVのサングラスはそういうときに便利！「動きやすく、スタイリッシュに」が私のモットー。

Pleated blue velvet

From the previous weekend when I had a delicious buffet-style brunch at the Shinjuku Park Hyatt. A girl has to spoil herself sometimes, you know?

An all-black uniform

I'm currently reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and it's one of the most interesting reads I've had in a while. I decided to start reading it without reading any summaries or reviews, and it was nothing like I had expected, which is a good thing. Sometimes picking up a book and not expecting the expected is refreshing, similar to how life throws you curveballs. Exactly 4 years have passed by since I moved to Japan, and these 4 years have shown me how unexpected life really is. Some food for thought.

今、村上春樹さんの「１Q８４」を読んでいるのですが、今まで読んだ本の中で多分一番ユニークな設定だと思います。あらすじやレビューを読まずに読んでみようと思い、想像していたものとは全然違う世界だったのがびっくり。でも、いいことなんです。新しい本を選んで、全く想像していなかったお話に突入出来るのは、良い気分転換にもなります。人生に想像外の出来事があるような。私も日本着てからすでに４年が経ち、この４年の間、人生はどれだけ色んな出来事があるかを思い知らされました。多分、これからもまだまだ続くでしょうね。ちょっと考え事。

Shades of burgundy

I absolutely love wearing dark colors, so fall & winter trends and color palettes are naturally my favorite. And these Asos sock boots and Metrocity quilt bag arrived just in time. Pairing these red hues with a mix of darks and lights made them stand out even more. I love how the bag can become a shoulder bag and clutch by attaching and removing the strap. Perfect perfect. 

ダークな色合いのお洋服を着るのが好きなので、秋冬のトレンドやカラーはもちろんお気に入りです。Asosでみつけたスレンダーブーツとメトロシティの新作のキルトバッグがちょうどいいタイミングで届いたので、両方同じコーディネートに取り入れたかったです。濃い色、淡い色とミックスしたら、さらに目立つパターン。ストラップの取り外しができるバッグは本当に使いやすい！パーフェクトアイテムです。
