Mixing the old with the new

You can never go wrong with an oversized, ankle-length cardigan. While there are many ways to style one, this time I opted for simple, yet quality pieces in my wardrobe. My favorite Rag & Bone tee, a pleather skirt, my mom's old LV purse, a silver bangle with a leather wrap-around from Spanish jewelry brand Uno de 50, and my new Puma Gold Collection kicks. When there's too much black, a touch of white does the trick with a pair of zeroUV sunnies. Comfort in style is my motto.

スーパーロングカーディガンは、以外と万能なアイテムです。様々なスタイリング方法はありますが、今回はシンプルでクオリティーのあるものを合わせてみました。お気に入りのRag&BoneTシャツ、フェイクレザーのミニスカート、お母さんが昔パリで買ったヴィトンのバッグ、Uno de 50というスペインのブランドのシルバーとレザーのバングル、そして、Puma Gold Collectionの新しいスニーカー。黒系が多すぎるかなって時は、ちょこっと白をプラスしたらいい感じ。ZeroUVのサングラスはそういうときに便利！「動きやすく、スタイリッシュに」が私のモットー。

From the previous weekend when I had a delicious buffet-style brunch at the Shinjuku Park Hyatt. A girl has to spoil herself sometimes, you know?

Vibrant in Desigual

Challenge to myself: wear more colors. I wore these flared pants at the Desigual party, but I re-styled them for a day out at Odaiba. Instead of adding more color, I kept things simple with a basic top and denim jacket. I also sported some of my new accessories - a clear choker from Choke Me Jewelry, and this handmade gold leaf ring and starfish earrings from Uncommon Goods. Chokers are a cool & edgy way to spice up an outfit, and this one looks great with almost any outfit. The ring & earrings are crafted by Catherine Weitzman for Uncommon Goods, who designs her signature line of silver, gold and glass jewelry in Hawaii. Sometimes my ears have allergic reactions to certain jewelry, but I'm happy to say these pretty starfish earrings are perfect for daily wear. もっと色鮮やかなものを着よう。最近自分にチャレンジしていることです。この赤いフレアパンツはデシグアルのパーティーで着用したのですが、今回はお出かけ用にスタイリングしてみました。前回とは違って、ベーシックなトップスとジャケットをチョイス。そして、新しいアクセサリーも付けてみました！Choke Me Jewelryのクリアチョーカーと、Uncommon Goodsのハンドメイドのゴールドリーフリングとヒトデピアス。リングとピアスは、キャサリン・ワイツマンがデザインしたもので、他にもシルバーやガラスのジュエリーをハワイで作っているそうです。私は、たまに耳が金属アレルギーになるので、ジュエリーの素材にはこだわっています。なので、このヒトデピアスを付けても何も反応しなかったのが嬉しい！もっとハンドメイドとカスタムメイドのアクセサリーを見たい方は、Uncommon Goodsを是非チェックしてください！

A casual little black dress part 2 (featuring Bershka)

Did everyone have a great weekend? I've been a little slow at responding to comments and preparing this post, so apologies for that. I actually performed at Night Nation Run in Japan, the first running music festival in the world. I was a featured artist for EDM unit EDO, which includes DJ Marc Panther, club-D and Claudio. This time, I was lucky enough to open the set with an original track titled "Freedom." One of my dreams came true this weekend, and I'm still savoring the moment. I'll be posting more about the festival later on!

I mentioned I would be doing a 2-part series on how to wear a casual LBD, and here it is, this time wearing a Bershka midi dress. With the sexy mesh back detail and the feminine silhouette, this particular dress can be worn in a more formal setting as well. But I have a habit of always dressing things down with sneakers, and these Old Skool Vans are a favorite right now. Viktor shot these photos for me in Shinjuku's Kabukicho - the 2nd photo is in front of the Robot Restaurant, always full of tourists. And this dragon mural was sick! We randomly walked by it at the end of our shooting session and had to take a couple shots. You never know what you'll find in Tokyo because it really is a treasure trove of all things interesting.


皆さんの週末はいかがでしたか？コメントの返事や、この記事の準備が遅くなってしまい、申し訳ないです！実は、土曜日に日本初上陸のミュージックフェス、ナイトネーションランのステージに立ちました！マークパンサーさん含むEDOという新ユニットのフィーチャーアーティストとして、オリジナルの曲を歌わせていただきました。ずっと見続けていた夢が一つ叶って、今でもその貴重な体験を噛み締めています。後ほどイベントに関してもっと詳しく説明します！

前回、カジュアルな黒いワンピースの着方のパート２をアップすると書きました。今回は、Bershkaのボディコンワンピースをカジュアルダウンのスタイリングにしてみました。メッシュのバックディテールがセクシーなので、ドレスアップしても着れますよ。でも、私はスニーカーなどに合わせてカジュアルに着がちなので、お気に入りのOld Skool Vansと合わせました。カメラマンのヴィクターさんと新宿で撮影してて、ロボットレストランの前でも撮ってもらいました。やっぱり観光客が多いですね！そして、小さい神社の隣に描かれていたこの竜が本当にかっこ良かったです。たまたま見つけたロケーションだったので、ラッキーでした！都内を歩いていると、色んな発見があるので楽しいですよね。
