From the previous weekend when I had a delicious buffet-style brunch at the Shinjuku Park Hyatt. A girl has to spoil herself sometimes, you know?

Black bodysuit (featuring Wearall)

Show some skin this summer with a bodysuit. I got this Leora halter neck backless bodysuit from Wearall, an online shop with a great selection of dresses and bodysuits. While a bodysuit can be worn on its own, it looks great with a pair of jeans or shorts. I paired mine with my favorite Moussy jeans and some accessories. Showing some skin can be done right as long as you balance it out well. Also channeling my inner kitty cat vibes with the classic cat eye sunglasses from zeroUV.

ボディスーツで、この夏は少し露出してみては？このバックレスハルターネックのボディスーツはWearallというオンラインショップで見つけました。ワンピースやオールインワンを豊富に揃えているので、欲しいデザインがたくさんありました。ボディスーツはそのまま一枚で着ることはできますが、ボトムスと合わせてきた方がバランスがいいと思います。私はお気に入りのマウジーのデニムと合わせました。露出は、バランスが基本です！ZeroUVのキャットアイのサングラスで猫みたいに。（笑）

Summer whites pt. 2 (featuring Moussy & SLY)

I'm starting to like the two-part OOTD series, and this time I styled another summer white with some washed denim similar to my post here. I'm featuring the same brands, Moussy and SLY, but introducing different silhouettes for a more romantic yet casual feel. An off-shoulder blouse like this one from Moussy is an easy way to bring out the girly in you; however, I toned it down with some destroyed denim in a light wash and also my fresh Adidas with a pop of Mohee. I'm all about keeping that level of edgy street style in my outfits.

最近、パート１&２で分けているブログポストを結構気に入っています。そして今回も、夏に向けての白コーデを紹介します！前回と同じく、マウジーとスライを着用していますが、全く違うシルエットを選びました。このオフショルダートップスで女の子らしさを演出。でも、ライトウオッシュの破れたデニムとAdidasで、カジュアルさをプラスしました。スニーカーにもMoheeのアクセサリーをつけてみました。可愛いでしょう？私は、女性らしさをキープしつつ、ストリートスタイルを取り入れるのが大好きなんです。

Summer whites (featuring SLY)

Sometimes we all need a little simplicity in our lives. I crave it all the time as I try to make my way in this fast-paced lifestyle in Tokyo. Maybe it's why my style is somewhat toned-down most of the time, although I am inspired by the crazy and the colorful. And sometimes, it's the simple outfits that turn out to be the most chic and sought after. 

If you know you're going to be spending a humid summer (I know I am), I suggest looking for loose-fitting silhouettes in clean colors & washes. This ribbon top from SLY is a perfect choice for my summer wardrobe - style it with either jeans or shorts depending on the weather. Still reminiscing my time spent in California, I kept it beachy with light-wash denim and my palm tree print Dezso clutch. And have I ever mentioned these flat-lense zeroUV aviators are the only ones that have ever looked good on me? Pink eyewear is definitely in this season!

人生には、たまにシンプルさが必要だと思います。ペースの速い東京での生活の中、私は常に欲しています。だから多分、カラフルで大胆なものにインスパイアされていても、私の普段のスタイルは割とシンプルなんだと思います。最終的には、シンプルなコーディネートが以外と一番シックで求められるんでしょうね。

今年は（私みたいに）蒸し暑い夏を過ごす予定でいるのであれば、明るい色やウオッシュで、ルースなシルエットのお洋服を選ぶのがオススメです。このSLYのリボントップスは夏にちょうどいいアイテムです。デニムやショートパンツにも合います！まだカリフォルニアが恋しいので、ライトウオッシュのデニムとヤシの木柄のクラッチで、今回はビーチ風にスタイリングしました。そして、着用しているzeroUVのエビエーターサングラスは、初めて似合うと思ったエビエーターフレームなんです。びっくりでしょう？ピンク色のサングラスは今期のトレンドですよ！

Black, white and stars

I feel very fortunate these days to be busy with new and prospective jobs, my current jobs, and other events here and there. Sometimes my blog goes on the wayside a little bit because of that, but it's always on the back of my mind. I'm hoping to produce more outfit posts in the coming weeks, as well as other content. 

I was taking voice lessons consistently since last summer, then there was a 2 month hiatus starting the beginning of the year. And yesterday, I finally had my first voice lesson of the year, which was really helpful  and just enjoyable overall. Having studied piano most of my life, I do miss the weekly  music lessons and the feeling of learning something new every week and practicing that until I'm comfortable with my new skills. If there is a skill you are trying to perfect like me, consistency and practice is key! Like my grandma always said, "If you don't use it, you lose it."

最近、仕事が少しずつ増えてきて忙しくなってきていますが、とても幸せだなと思っています。そのため、ブログの方はたまに後回しになってしまうことがありますが、常に頭の奥で「やらなきゃ、やらなきゃ！」と自分にリマインドしています。もうちょっといいペースで私服コーデの記事やその他の記事をアップしていきたいですね。

去年の夏から、毎週頑張ってボーカルのレッスンを受けていたんですけど、新年からぴたっと止まってしまって、、そして昨日、やっとレッスンを再開しました。自分のためになるし、やっぱり楽しいです。人生のほとんどピアノをやっていたので、毎週のレッスンがたまに恋しくなります。毎週新しいことを学んで、練習して、新しいスキルが身に付く繰り返し。新しいものを身に付けたい時は、一貫性と練習が大事です！私のアメリカのおばあちゃんの口癖、「使わないと、（スキルは）無くなるよ」を思い出します。

Velvet & violet

There are so many ways to dress up a fur coat, but there are also just as many ways to style it down. I actually like how a plush violet faux-fur coat looks with light-wash denim. I got this pair at the Moussy opening renewal party in Harajuku, and they are my favorite right now. And my velvet open-back top makes its debut after, what, 5 years?? Purchased back during my college days, I loved how it looked but I couldn't find a great way to style it. It definitely looks good with high-waisted denim and some gold accents.

ファーコートを上品に着る方法はたくさんありますが、カジュアルダウンすることも全然できます。このフェークファーのバイオレットコートは今期のお気に入りで、ライトウォッシュのデニムと相性がいい。デニムは、Moussy原宿店のリニューアルパーティーでゲットしたもの。そして、このオープンバックのベルベットトップスはなんと、５年ぐらい前に買ってからの初登場！多分、大学生の時に買ったのかな。すごく可愛いんだけど、どう上手に着ればいいか分からなくて。。でも、ハイウエストのデニムとゴールドのアクセントでいい感じにスタイリングできたと思います♡
