Pinterest Japan Halloween Night

Photos from Pinterest Halloween Night tonight in Shibuya. I was so happy when Yuka from Pinterest Japan sent me an invite to this cute event. Pinterest invited 4 different kawaii creators in Tokyo to do DIY crafts with the guests. There was a Halloween headband-making booth by Kate Sakai, a gel nail designing booth courtesy of Jacqueline Burchell Singapore, a T-shirt designing booth courtesy of Syrup, and a cookie decorating booth by Micarina cookies. I don't do too much DIY, so this was a nice opportunity for me to get my crafting on. I seriously felt like a 5-year-old when I was making me lace headband, trying to twist the wire, wrapping it with black tape, and gluing the lace and flowers for the finishing touch. It turned out so nicely :) Such an easy DIY!

The food table was gorgeous - so much creativity with the layout and recipes! The straws, the pumpkin, the little cones with mashed Japanese pumpkin... so delicious and cute! The Pinterest  Japan community managers are the sweetest people, I love getting together with them at these events. Makes me love Pinterest even more!

Happy Halloween!

Here is part II in continuation from my last post featuring GOOD AFTER NINE, the coolest jewelry brand out there. I'm clad in all black yet again, but I wouldn't have it any other way (most of the time). Especially in this duster cardigan I got at Zara earlier this season - I seriously fell in love the minute I laid eyes on it. It literally flows in the wind like a cape. My Sam Edelmans also make their official debut in an outfit post. These are so comfortable, I can see myself wearing them everyday like my Vans... My two favorite items at the moment. And of course, my animal rings :) More details about that in my last post here!

I'm going to Okinawa for work in a few days, SO stoked for that. I've been wanting to go there since I  was 12. Cannot contain my excitement.

Love,

Samantha Mariko

FEATURE | Good After Nine x Letters Impromptu

Let me introduce to you one of the coolest accessories brands out there, GOOD AFTER NINE.

photos by Lisa from Paint with Stars

GOOD AFTER NINE is a unique accessories brand from Bangkok, Thailand. The concept of the brand - producing quality, everyday jewelry thats good to wear from 9 AM, and even after 9 PM when "the fun usually starts." One of the designers was kind enough to send me 4 different rings, 2 of them their signature animal ones. I'd never seen such cute animal rings before, and I was beyond excited when these cuties arrived at my doorstep. I've been wearing my husky and panther ring to work and events, and have gotten so many compliments on them.

Check out their other 9 AM animal rings here, and the rest of their accessories here. You won't be disappointed I guarantee it!

Follow GOOD AFTER NINE on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates and inspiration :)

Check back for more details on the outfit I wore with these rings! 'Til then. x

Nicolai Bergmann for FURLA Capsule Collection preview party

If you love decoration flowers, you'll love Nicolai Bergmann's flower and design. The flower designs in a box are very popular in Japan, and last night I was lucky enough to attend the Nicolai Bergmann for FURLA Capsule Collection preview party in Aoyama. Flowers + FURLA bags... an irresistible combination for girls. I don't wear floral that often, but these bags were so cute! This party had a photo booth section, where the guests could get a photo take with their favorite Nicolai Bergmann for FURLA bag in a huge floral frame. Got a picture take with Moeko and Hikaru! The store was so beautiful, and just smelled amazing. I hope my future home will look something like this.. one day. What a dream come true.

You can take a look at Nicolai Bergmann flowers and design site here, and the Nicolai Bergmann for FURLA collection here !
