My co-worker Alisa invited me to the Sanja Matsuri (三社祭り）in Asakusa, which was perfect because I have been wanting to go to Asakusa for quite some time now. It was even better with all of the festivities, booths, and good food. When I go to events like these, I feel grateful that I live in this wonderful city (but I do miss California a lot!). And can I say what gorgeous weather? I'm looking forward to summer in Japan :)

This is probably one of the most interesting places I've done a photo shoot. We were able to use this little cafe in Shimo-kitazawa freely because of the photographer. And I loved the cute props he brought for the shoot - a portable record player, his vinyl collection, old magazines and photo books. It's just too bad the roller skates were too small...but I definitely enjoyed this music-themed shoot. Next time I'm bringing my headphones.

I went through some old photo albums at my grandparent's house today and found these lovely treasures.

what's in my bag?

I've been wanting to do a post like this for a while, so here it is :) 

I didn't realize how colorful the inside of my bag was until I laid it all out... but I have no complaints about that. So here is what's inside:

1. Planner - I don't feel organized without this. I have to write everything down otherwise I'll forget something.

2. Reusable shopping bag - I got this cute pink thing from J.Crew and I use it every time I go grocery shopping.

3. Sony headphones + iPod - Gotta have my music with me wherever I go!

4. iPhone - Obviously.

5. Wallet - Another necessity..

6. Makeup + essentials pouch - I got this one at Joyrich and I love it! It fits all of my essentials including lipstick, hand cream, eyedrops, gum, etc.

7. Mirror, keys, train pass 

8. Vaseline - Always good to have this.
