nudes & browns

When I was Pinteresting recently, I cam across an eye makeup tutorial using brown eye shadow and eyeliner. I've been using brown eye shadows for a quite a while now, but that inspired me to change up my makeup routine a bit. I ditched the black liquid eyeliner for a brown pencil liner (slim master liner by Maybelline), and added the Color Ink in BE-1 from Maybelline as well. Both work so well!! The eyeliner is very precise and easy to use, and the eye shadow adds instant shimmer in a subtle way. Browns and nudes are perfect for a daytime look, not too harsh but still prominent.

I also tried to arrange my hair differently... but it's hard when you have blunt-as-hell bangs. Really trying to grow them out but it's taking forever!

What are your favorite eye makeup products? I would love to read your recommendations!

Love,

Samantha Mariko

  3. I like the nude and brown look, I am a bit afraid to wear it on myself though as I am so used to the black liner(dollywink liquid liner) and mascara I wear all the time! I love how the nude look is though, it gives a sophisticated but dreamy.. faraway look. LOL did that make any sense?? haha anywho, Looove it!

  5. the brown eyeliner definitely produces a softer look. i used to use dark brown, but i'm back to black! i've love maybeline's waterproof gel eyeliner and anastasia's 'she wears it well' palette. i'd love one of the naked palettes!

  13. Hi Sam, your makeup looks so beautiful, perfectly subtle for daywear, I also prefer brown shades as an alternate to black, which I fine too harsh for myself. I love the blunt bangs, they really suit you. When I tried to grow mine out, I pinned it back in a pouf which helped.I appreciate that you always find the time to stop by :)
