ULTRA JAPAN 2016 Day 3

It rained on the third day of ULTRA JAPAN weekend, but that didn't stop Gail from The Equinox Fashion and I from enjoying Nero, Martin Garrix and Tiesto! What a perfect way to end the weekend.

ULTRA JAPAN最終日は雨が降ってしまったけど、だからってNero, Martin GarrixとTiestoを見逃す訳にはいきませんでした！タイから来日しているゲールちゃんと行けて、楽しかったです！良い週末だったなぁ。

Sometimes we all need an escape, to immerse into our fantasies and dream. Dream big. I'm officially a year older as of yesterday, and even though growing older does spark some fear in me, I feel better than ever. Dream big or go home. I will definitely live by those words no matter how hard the going gets tough. I realized the amount of support I have around me, and I want to return that kindness somehow, and one way I know how is to accomplish my goals and achieve my dreams. I express my deepest gratitude - thank you, thank you and thank you for letting me be who I am and letting me do what I do.

You won't believe how gloomy the weather is over here in Tokyo right now by glancing at these photos! I can't wait for the summer sunshine to arrive in time for my birthday. For this outfit, I used the same concept of summer whites and prints from a previous post (see post here), but this time with pants and a bold yellow top I picked up at H&M. These slim-fit pants from Comptoir des Cotonniers fit me so well, and they can be worn dressed up or down. 

I think by now most of you may have noticed that I wear many different styles. Being a model and blogger and being exposed to so many styles and brands, it's so hard for me to just stick to one kind of wardrobe or look. I always try to wear what makes me feel good & confident. And I've definitely changed my style considerably in the past year or so! Haircuts really do make a difference :) 

ただいま、この写真達とは真逆の天気でございます。毎日雨の日が続くと、気分も憂鬱になりがちですが、こういう元気が出るような色合い着用したらいかがですか？前回使用したテーマを再利用して、サマーホワイトとボールドなプリントをミックスしました。このブラウスはH&Mで買い物をしたときにすぐに目に止まり、衝動買いしてしまいました（笑）そして、このコントワーの白デニムは、涼しい夏の日に大活躍！フィットも綺麗だし、白は何にでも合いますね。

私のブログを読んで下さっていたら気づいているかもしれませんが、私は様々なスタイルを着回しています。モデルとブロガーとして、色んなブランドとの出会いがあるので、これというスタイルに定められない自分がいます。でも、自身が持てるお洋服は着てるようにしてます。この数年を振り返ると、自分は結構変わったなーとも思います。ヘアチェンジもやはり大事ですね♪

I currently live in an area where it takes 2 hours in the least to get to the nearest beach, so it was a real privilege growing up next to one in Surf City Huntington Beach. My brother and I took a quick drive to our local beach and enjoyed some California sun. When my dad passed away two summers ago, all I wanted to wear was black, no matter how warm it was. I always thought it was respectful to mourn for those who have passed by wearing black. Just two weeks ago, my grandmother passed away, but the things I remember most about her are her smile, laughter, her warmth and love. Instead of donning myself all in black, I want to celebrate her amazing life by wearing some more color. I hope to follow her footsteps and be a more gracious and caring person for myself and those around me.

Trying to live life more colorfully, take it day by day, and make the best of it. Until next time, California.

現在住んでいるところは、海まで2時間はかかるので、海の近くで生まれ育ったことに感謝してます。先日、弟とハンティントン・ビーチまでちょこっとドライブしてきました。2年前の夏、父が亡くなったとき、どんなに暑くても黒以外の色は着たくありませんでした。2週間前、祖母が亡くなりましたが、一番思い出に残っているのは彼女の笑顔と笑い声、心の暖かさととてつもない愛。暗い色で彼女の死を悲しむより、もっと色を取り入れて、彼女の素敵な人生を祝いたい。祖母のように、愛想の良い、気遣いのある女性になりたいです。

人生をもっとカラフルに、頑張って生きていこう。カリフォルニア、またね。

H&M Conscious Collection party

Last night, I stopped by the H&M party for their Conscious Collection. I hope you can tell by my photos that it was a very successful event! It was great to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Many of the guests were models and talents, and everyone I met was so friendly. And I LOVE this collection- the dresses are all so unique and gorgeous, and the concept of this collection is "sustainable fashion," which is awesome. Can't wait to go shopping at H&M one of these days!
